Objective: Inflammation plays a crucial role in the progression of many diseases, excessive inflammation increases immune cell activation, which can destroy tissues and body health. When occurs, multiple pro-inflammatory mediators are overproduced, leading to variety diseases such as rheumatism, diabetes, cardiovascular problems. Brucea javanica has been used traditional medicine therapy for anti-tumor, amebic dysentery, diarrhea, malaria, intestinal inflammation. Therefore, this study, we explored effect ethanol extract Fruit on anti-inflammation activity carrageenan-induced rat paw edema COX-2 inhibitory vivo.
Methods: In vivo anti-inflammatory ethanolic extracts was evaluated using paws method at doses 50, 100, 200mg/kg further investigated Cyclooxygenase-2 ELISA readers.
Results: The exhibited by oral intake 50 mg/kg inhibited 50.91% significantly compared Celecoxib 58.52%. Moreover, showed inhibition 16,40% 20,50%.
Conclusions: These findings indicate that Brucae have promising directed against enzymatic activity.
